At JJC Industrial Services, Inc., we’ve taken on many complex challenges in our 50-year history — but few have been as meaningful and logistically demanding as the relocation of multiple exotic animals, including Mundi the elephant, from Puerto Rico to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in the United States.
This unprecedented project required not only technical expertise, but also precision coordination, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility. Our team was entrusted with the entire logistical operation of transporting lions, tigers, bears, and other wildlife from a private zoo facility in Puerto Rico to their new forever home in Colorado — a sanctuary where they could live freely and safely.
The most iconic part of the mission was the transfer of Mundi, a beloved elephant who had lived for decades in captivity. JJC was responsible for her safe and humane transportation from her enclosure to the airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, where a specially equipped cargo aircraft awaited her.
This project not only demonstrated our logistical and rigging capabilities, but also reflected our company’s values of integrity, excellence, and compassion. Being part of this historic transfer was a profound honor and a testament to the trust placed in JJC by global organizations and humanitarian missions.
From Puerto Rico to new beginnings — we don’t just move machines, we move lives.
